this was the worst thing to happen. my iPod isn't working anymore!! i have a fourth generation ipod (click wheel). it was all fun till yesterday, when i used the data cable of a fifth generation ipod(vPod) to mine and connected it to the comp. it started fuming!!! :-( and then - black out. probably the power management unit got burned. it wasnt all my mistake. the cable looks alike, and had the same socket, same shape, and fits exactly the same way as mine. i really wonder why the apple people didnt have a common sense of using a different socket when the voltage levels of different generation ipods are different!! now i realise how much i miss it. i loved my ipod!! there are no apple ipod-servicemen in hyderabad. i should send it to chennai or look out for any other alternative. my poor ipod!!! im sorry for it!! precautions to all Apple ipod users:dont use any other generation ipod's accessories if you are not sure of the comaptability.
