I didnt expect that the Ganapathi festival is celebrated at such a large scale here. Owing to traffic jams, most of the schools, colleges and goverment offices are given holiday on the Ganesh Nimarjan day(happened to be yesterday). To add to my astonishment some of the software companies too declared the day as holiday, and my office was one among them!! Hurray!! I visited a few Ganapathis here including the Khairatabad Ganapathi which is supposed to be the biggest here. It was awesomely big (carefully look at the last image!!). The first two are Ganapthis installed in our colony. In the third photo its me and Madan.
