Orkut isnt all good.

Orkut, probably the most clicked site after Google(or the otherway!!) among the youth these days, is growing in number of users day after day exponentially. It is the site which software engineers like the most and their team/project leaders hate the most(though they themselves use it!).
I have a bad reputation among my friends of being a bad 'scrapper', a very common term these days among Orkuters. Yes, I don't checkin regularly. I always hated the concept of open chatting, putting out your personnal info to the web.
It is true that Orkut is a good platform to find your childhood pals, 'bichde huve dost' and schoolmates, a good place to create customized communities linking people. There ends the pros. In my opinion  Orkut is a big risky hell out there on the net. You never know who is reading your messages, accessing your info. An account can be opened on any name, put any photo and you are ready to scrap on behalf of that name. Some people put personnal info like telephone numbers, address es while some others take a step further by scrapping private messages. Some say it is very addictive, and sometimes more addictive than normal chatting. There was an article(
here) on how far this menace could reach, which i think can serve as a good warning.
I'm not completely against the community, but thought of reminding you before it is too late.
