Angels & Demons - Ramdevji & Karat

For a change, this year i have decided to read novels. Now this is self contradictory: kaushik-reading novels. Infact i still have a book in pending list which was supposed to be completed some 3-4 monts ago. It is 'Autobiograpy of a Yogi'. I am almost in the ending chapters of that book. I have recently borrowed 'Angels and Demons' from my cousin. Yesterday i finished some 50 pages. Was very interesting and captivating. God knows how many days/weeks/months will i take to finish off that book.
The controversy over the use of Human bones and animal parts in some samples of medicine produced by Brinda Karat is very disgusting. She claims the samples to be taken from Shri Ramdev's ashram. In my opinion, first and the foremost clarification should be regarding from where did she get these medicines? Next thing is who is behind her. Obviously she might not have strated investigating on her own. Are any cola-based-MNcs behind her? What is her motive?
I have heard of using some animal produts like deer horns in Ayurvedic medicines. What is the big deal in it if it cures diseases? Is swami killing anyone? He is a very good yoga teacher who has crossed the boundaries of religion and caste. He has once again asserted the importance of yoga in our life and has proved that by performing yoga one can heal even dreadful diseases like cancer and TB.
I was watching a debate on NDTV which was on topic like-Swamiji Vs Karat. The discussion was so rubbish and the anchoring was so stupid that one of the audience tried to proove that Ayurveda is waste and that discussion continued for long time! What is going on! No one needs to proove the efficacy of Ayurveda, obviously not these idiots! Let there be proper investigation. Now at this juncture if i talk more, i will be called a Saffronist by so called Seculars. Shame on CPM. Shame on NDTV.

I find your blog very interesting to read here in America... I can see ways things are different and some ways things are the same between our two countries. Very interesting!
